Being a real estate agent in Dallas comes along with a lot listings. There are close to 3 million people in the Dallas Metroplex and it is growing everyday. With all the competition you have have a game plan. I was fortunate enough to have closed a 1.6 million dollar deal at my office, buy now it has created a frenzy. Now I want to do more volume. I have had a great start in real estate and I have a game plan to reach that goal of becoming one of the top agents in Dallas. Working for Rogers Healy helps with keeping my mind on the prize as he is a top producer. You only learn from the best. My goal is the close a million dollars in luxury real estate every other month. Thats 6 million in production a year. Not too bad of a goal. For now I'm putting all my efforts into branding myself and talking to as many people as possible. I know I can reach my goal in time and for now I want to land another million dollar lisitng and start knocking items off my list.

Dallas is quickly becoming a concrete jungle. The city is booming and vibrant with lush greenery, city lights, and new construction going up on monthly basis. One thing that is constant is new apartment complexes being constructed and people needing to live in those apartments. With that comes decked out buildings with all the bells and whistles. Boutique style apartments are the new craze. From lobby to your unit everything is planned out and imaculate. Truth of the matter is that as nice as it is there is a price tag. Most places in Dallas rent for about $1.25-$1.50 per square foot and next year the buzz around town is that it will be $2.00 a foot. You could honestly buy a home with your monthly rent amount, but city living is amazing. As a real estate agent in Dallas, I love being in the mists of all of it. From suburbs to downtown lofts. I love it all and so do my clients. Also, with an apartment you get anything from building activities, parties, valet trash, beautiful pools, dog walkers, room service, and the list goes on. Given you could own a house for $2,500, $3,00, even $4,500 a month, but does it come with valet trash? I don't think so. I'm in!
Dallas is quickly becoming a mini New York and it's exciting. One thing for sure is that we have plenty of homes and apartments to put you right in the middle of all of it. Call me for any of your apartment needs!
Location, location, location! My most recent client wants the best location. He is a personal friend from New Orleans and is tranfering for a job to Denver. I'm located in Dallas and have been working with our office relocation division, Healy Relocation, to get him the perfect apartment. My friend knows nothing about Denver and the last thing that he wants is to be stressed about finding a place to live. He has bigger things to worry about like landing a job and packing for the long move from New Orleans to Denver. It is over 900 miles to drive. Colorado is a beautiful state and I can see why he would want to move there. It's my job as his Realtor to make the move as easy as possible.
I found out that my friend wanted to move to Denver on the little thing that you may have heard of...Facebook. I saw him make a post about asking for help from friends that have been to Denver and if they could help with any places that they might know of to live. I instantly messaged him and told him that I could help. He had no idea that a real estate agent could help with him relocating when it's not to the state that I reside in. The truth of that matter is that I can help anyone move to anywhere in the entire world. We have already hooked him up with an agent in Denver and are making plans to get his furniture packed and shipped. Then all he will have to do is make the long treck and start his new and exciting life.
At Rogers Healy and Associates we are a global company that can help with any moving needs. I am not just local, I'm global with Healy Relocation.
Rogers Healy is dominating Dallas Real Estate. He is one of the top 3 brokers in Dallas and he has worked hard to seal that position. He is constantly growing and taking over Dallas and the DFW Metroplex. He just landed a deal and will be opening an office in Plano on October 1, 2015. It will be a smaller office, but it will give access to the other Rogers Healy Associates that live up in that area and it will help to get his brand out to more areas.
It is no secret that being a real estate agent at Rogers Healy is a pleasure. His energy and culture up here is infectious. On a daily basis I love what I do even more and Im glad to support him and see him taking over the Dallas Real Estate Market.
Becoming a Realtor is no easy task. It takes a lot of work and dedication, but it is worth it in the long run. I wanted to take the time to go over all the things that I didn't know and that people didn't tell me before I started my real estate journey in Dallas.
It's hard. That was the main thing that no one told me. School only takes about a month, but you have to learn a lot of information in a short amount of time and then take your licensing exam. The exam is hard and takes a lot of studying. Also, it's not very cheap. Getting into real estate might seem inexpensive, but there are a lot of dues that you pay to your Realtor board and you basically run your own business and have to buy everything from paper clips to name tags. I went to school at Kaplan College for around $900 and I was done in about a month. Then I studied like a mad person so I could pass my exam. I passed the first time and was pretty proud of that. Most people that I talked to said that it took at least 2 tries before passing. Then it was off the find a brokerage that I wanted to work at. I started at Keller Williams and did not like it. So here I am at Rogers Healy and Associates and couldn't be happier. Once you find a brogerage that you like then you start paying all your dues and every month there are fees that you have to pay. You have to buy yard signs, lock boxes, marketing materials, name tags, dress shirts, and anything else that it takes to run a business.
Overall it's a lot of work and you are an idependent contractor. For me personallly I want to work for myself and I dont want a typical 9-5 job. It takes a little time getting use to and being 100% based off of comission, but I love being a real estate agent in Dallas and can't imagine doing anything else.
