Wow! The struggle is real. Trying to find the perfect home for a client can be hard. Not only do you have the Texas heat upon you, but you have to look over thousands of homes for sale. A lot of times you will find the home of your dreams and then in a flash it is gone! That is the real estate market we are living in tho! It is super hot right now.
One thing I have noticed in my search with home buyers is that Realtor after Realtor has a home for sale and you would think they were selling oranges...I use that term becasue they are not treating the home like a Dallas Luxury Home! Let me explain. A home owner calls you to sell their home because they want to move. Sometimes they are taking a job out of state and have to relocate. Other times they just want to upgrade because their family is growing. Yet, it boggles my mind to see real estate agents that take the worse pictures I have ever seen, they give a short description of the home, and they don't do the home owner any justice by selling the home over the phone when you call. You would think that every Realtor in Dallas would treat a home like a luxury listing whether it is 1 dollar, 250,000 dollars, or a million dollars. I truly wonder what the home owner thinks of their agent when they look up their home on sites like Zillow or Realtor.com. I mean do they not call the Realtor and rip them a new one? I work my tail off marketing and trying to get listings. I literally was on top of a home for 3 days painting it for a client. The home was only worth $85,000, but I didn't care. I wasn't going to treat my client any different.
I take pride in what I do and it shows. One day I want to be a Top Dallas Realtor not just for my efforts around town, but because of my production numbers. I am going to continue to treat every home like a luxury listing. When I see a half a million dollar home that is being marketed like it's a treehouse or something....I am just going to bite my tongue and say a prayer for that home owner. Hopefully that agent will learn the hard way that you have to take care of your clients like they are a rockstar. They thought you were during the listing appointment.
