Real Estate in Dallas TX is chugging along full steam ahead. It is almost the end of 2017 and prices are still rising. Not only are prices, but new construction is rising as well. Builders are constructing luxury homes left and right. You can drive down any given street and see new homes being erected non-stop. It is explosive. One day an old run down home. The next day is a luxury home waiting to be plucked up by the perfect home buyer. Anyone in the real estate game fully understands the signifigance of all these new homes. It means that values will continue to sky rocket as long as new construction is being built. That means more money for the builder, the realtor, and the homeowner. Buyers benefit as well when building equity in their home. So it's a win win for everyone.
I have been in Dallas for 5 years now. 3 of those I have a Dallas Real Estate Agent. There is nothing new about seeing a home being built...well other then the fact that it's new... I mean any builder can choose to build a home, but over the last few years everyone is building luxury homes in what seems like your average neighborhood. We like to call them "mini mansions or mcmansions". For a while people would laugh, myself included, at these large homes squeezed into these normal sized residential lots. We assumed it was someone wanting to feel like a "high roller". Then after learning about the housing market I realized almost all the new homes being built are leaning towards that direction. The average price per square foot for a luxury home is over $301.00. The only way for a builder to maxamize his investment is to finish out the home with luxury finishes and to take advantage of how much home they can biuld. Not to mention that the Dallas economy is still doing great. So asking somone to pay almost a million dollars for a home is now the new normal.
The landscape of Dallas is changing. I couldn't be happier to be closing more deals and getting new and exciting listings. Dallas will be on the rise for many years to come. What was once old is now new...or should we say new construction? As long as builders keep pushing the limits then values will continue to rise. Hopefully I can help sell some of those.
