California does Dallas! Families are still seeking sought after Dallas suburbs and flocking in the masses to find their dream home!
It should be no surprise that the Dallas DFW Metroplex is still one of the hottest markets to live in. 2018 is off to a roaring start. Tax cuts, jobs, and optomism are all contributing to what may be the best year in real estate ever! It is true. I have attest first hand that it is a mad house out there. Families are flocking here becausse of the some what low cost to live here compared to California. Back in the day you couldn't touch California with a 10 foot pole, but companies are relocating to Dallas, builders are building mini mansions in the suburbs for a fraction of the cost, and surrounding communities are catering to the needs of active lifestyles.
I work a lot in relocation. Last year on average I relcated about 1-2 families per month. Now I am working with 3-4 families a month that are trying to relocate here. It is no wonder tho. Initially a familly will make a trip to Dallas to check out a job. Then they see our beautiful city and everything it has to offer. Not to mention the suburbs that they are considering arer building bike trails, playground, clean and safe community enviroments, and breathtaking clubhouses. So as soon as we start the home hunting search, they are already blown away. Then they see they can afford a massive home around 4,000 square feet for under $400,000....when California would charge almost double that...ya, you would dive head first too!
A lot of people have this impression of Dallas as the Wild West. Then they get here and realise we are actually very similar to California. We are bridging the gap between a booming city and affordable housing per a majority of the U.S. Now don't be fooled while prices are still affordable, they are increasing every year at about 10%. So now is the time to buy. In the next 3-5 years Dallas will most likely be up there with some of the most expensive citites to live like Chicago and D.C.
