How To Become A Top Dallas Realtor?...Start Writing A Real Estate Resume To Stand Out To Homeowners!

        Being a Dallas Real Estate Agent or a Real Estate Agent anywhere in the world is one of the most important jobs anyone could have.  You are responsible for helping someone sell one of the biggest assets they will ever own.  So sitting around, working from home in your pajamas, while eating ice cream is not going to cut it anymore.  Most people get into real estate because it allows them to work from home.  They get to be their own boss and make up their own set of rules.  In todays housing market you can not sit around and be idle if you want to be a Top Dallas Realtor.  Dallas real estate is on fire right now.  You have to work as if you are interviewing for a Fortune 500 company when meeting and talking to a homeowner.  Now it doesn't mean you can't be yourself.  You don't have to wear the finest threads or go buy a flashy car.  No one really cares about that.  Instead you have to start promoting why you are the best man for the job...I'm talking about going old school and writing a resume. 

        Dallas is very competitive.  It is like a drug once you start gaining new business.  It shows that you are doing something right.  You are a business owner just like any other business minus the brick and mortar.   Now, some Real Estate Agents are born with a silver spoon in their mouth.  A good majority of Dallas has Realtors who are the son or daughter of a developer.  With Dallas booming so much right now it is very common to see a million dollar luxury home being built and a family member will list it.  That would be a dream come true, but most of us are grinding everyday.  It can be a struggle.  We all are trying to get new listings.  Sure buyers are great to work with, but lisitngs is where it's at.  A lot of us tend to overthink it tho when marketing to a homeowner.  They just want to know who the best man or woman for the job.  So selling yourself before even stepping through the door is key.  Writing a Real Estate Resume is one of the best things I have ever done for growing my business.

        There are many ways of marketing your Real Estate business.  I have found that writing a reusme is one of the best ways to get a listing.  Everytime you go to a listing appointment it is really like going to a job interview.  What do we do when we go to an interview?  We type up a resume.  We try to sell ourselves so we can get the appointment scheduled.  A lot of Realtor are not doing this.  They are sending out typical postcards with the intend of having a catchy slogan on it.  Sellers want to know your assets.  Start sending them a resume with all your marketing materials.  Believe it or not, but it will make you stand out.  Psychologically it will put the home owner in the position that they are the boss..which they are.  It will also put you in the position that you are not only a professional, but that you are eager to get hired.  Look, there are over 30,000 differnt Real Estate Agents in Dallas.  I get to visit with a lot of them.  I have probably met a couple thousand of them at different events.  Alot of them are my friends.  However, I have only heard of one other Top Dallas Realtor that is doing this.  He said writing a resume was one of the best things he has done for his career...  Start treating every homeowner like they are the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and start sending out your resume!  It will be the best thing you have ever done.  Resumes will never go out of style!  Call me for all your buying and selling needs.
